This website was inspired by the President of the United States Barack Obama. It is unlike most of the other online bingo websites where the process involves creating an account, depositing money, picking a room to play in and buying bingo tickets. The bingo card used contains words which he uses the most often.

If you click on one of them it brings up a bingo board. The bingo board has 25 squares and all except the middle one contains a word. You then need to print the bingo board out and watch the video of the speech on the website. Bingo Obama also has links to real bingo and casino websites and games such as Space Invaders and Asteroids.

Last year, Gala Bingo announced that they would be teaming up with Barack Obama’s step mother Keiza Obama to raise money for Sue Ryder Care with the help of bingo.

Weeks before the special bingo event took place, Keiza was pictured in a Gala Bingo branded car and chatting to players on a bright yellow Gala Bingo laptop and sitting in a Gala Bingo club and all of these quirky and exciting pictures were posted as teasers for the day on which the 10 days of Obama Bingo would commence.

Obama Bingo kicked off on 23rd February, 2009 at 8pm where the special bingo room named ‘Mrs Obama’s Bingo’ opened for just one hour per night for 10 days straight. Gala Bingo promised that every £1 spent in any of Mrs Obama’s Bingo room would result in Gala themselves donating 10p of their own cash to Sue Ryder Care.

People flocked to the special Obama Bingo room to spend their hard earned cash, safe in the knowledge that their bingo cash was going to make a difference. At the end of the 10 days, Gala Bingo announced that together with Keiza Obama’s help towards raising awareness and the collective help of the players, £10,000 had been raised for Sue Ryder Care, working out under £1000 raised every day during the promotional time.

At the start of the promotion, Gala Bingo promised that they would double whatever their faithful players raised, which brought the total to a massive £20,000. The time to play Obama Bingo online has passed, but fans and bingo players are hoping that bingo loving Keiza will be back next year for some more charity bingo fun.

The facts are that Barack Obama’s step mother is called Kezia Obama. She loves bingo and enjoys playing, and she also likes to help raise money for charity. She wanted to help out with the Sue Ryder Care charity, so she decided to do something that would help contribute, that was connected to her love of bingo.

Kezia Obama teamed up with Galabingo.com, and Obama Bingo was born. Basically whenever anyone played any of the special Obama Bingo games, 10p of their £1 ticket cost was donated to the Sue Ryder Care charity.

What a nice idea for anyone who wanted to play Obama Bingo online to think that they were helping such a great charity. The Sue Ryder Care charity helps people with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis. It’s also nice to think that such an important man has such a lovely step mother who wanted to do her bit to help raise money for charity.
